Youngsters went out into the wild to learn about the natural environment.

Pupils from The Ark Nurseries at St George’s and St Gilbert’s primary schools in Stamford took a trip to Ketton for a day at their forest school.

They helped build a cob oven, which is made from stony sand and clay. The wood-fired oven will be used to cook bread and pizzas topped with vegetables from the nurseries’ own allotment.
