Free course at New College Stamford to learn how to grow your own vegetables

PEOPLE will be able to learn how to grow their own vegetables at a course.

Volunteers from the Stamford Community Garden project are working with New College Stamford to put on the second course, which is for beginners interested in planting their own vegetables.

The course will cover the 10 vegetables which are the easiest to grow, how to grow in raised beds and containers, sowing and planting, how to make compost and crop rotation.

The first course had the maximum number of people registered.

The free five week course will start on Thursday at the college and will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
