Youngsters put on a show for two special visitors to express their knowledge and understanding of Fairtrade.
Pupils at Leighfield Primary School, in Newtown Road, Uppingham, welcomed Helen and Richard Baggott of Rutland Fairtrade Steering Group who were given an insight into what the youngsters had learned about Fairtrade.
Leighfield’s own Fairtrade steering group, which includes pupils of all ages, spoke to their guests about the importance of Fairtrade and showed them their informative displays.
Mrs Darlington said: “The children have worked extremely hard and learnt so much over the last year.”
“They now have a real understanding of the plight of farmers across the world and understand how important it is to choose Fairtrade.”
