A PRIMARY school is one step closer to becoming an academy.
Governors of Malcolm Sargent Primary School in Empingham Road, Stamford wrote to parents this week to confirm the consultation process on the conversion is now finished.
All the documents are with the Department for Education and the school hopes to convert on December 1.
It will keep its name, uniform and admissions policy but will have more control over its curriculum, staff pay and conditions and how its spends its budget.
Chair of governors, Ken Swanson, said: “We will continue with our ethos of inspiring children, learning together.”
