CHILDREN cooked up tasty treats to raise money and provide food for homeless people.

Market Deeping Primary School’s Year 4 Panthers class raised £80 for the Peterborough Streets charity by items including cupcakes, biscuits and even home-made Chinese fortune cookies to their fellow pupils.

The generous youngsters also brought in tins of food and toiletries to help make up two bumper hampers for the charity, based in Bretton, Peterboroough

There were also donations from the school’s parent and teacher association.
