A PRIMARY school welcomed prospective pupils, parents and carers at a celebration event on Thursday.

Ketton Primary School had a refurbishment over the summer holidays and pupils invited their parents to have a look at the new classrooms, learning and community area and toilets and the redesigned office and early years centre.

Youngest pupil Niamh Jarvis, four, and eldest pupil Amelia Haspineall, 11, cut the cake made by parent Tracey Matthews.

Headteacher Mandy Rogers said: “It was a very special occasion.”
