SEVEN Oakham School pupils have received offers to study at Oxford or Cambridge universities.

Nathan Ellis has an offer to read English at Exeter College, Oxford and a choral scholarship. Helena Spector has been offered a place to read archaeology and anthropology at Clare College, Cambridge; Martin Szoke has an offer to read Classics at St John’s College, Cambridge; James Nicholls has an offer to read mathematics with physics at Emmanuel College, Cambridge and Philip Leaning’s offer is to read engineering at Christ’s College, Cambridge. Will Danskin has been offered a place to read geography at Homerton College, Cambridge and Sveta Radionovskaya has an offer to read geography at Trinity College, Cambridge.

Headmaster Nigel Lashbrook said: “I am delighted by the success of this year’s Oxbridge students who have all, in their different ways, thrived on taking their own learning well beyond the bounds of any A-level or IB syllabus.

“My congratulations go to all seven students.”
