Pupils from Oakham School have set up a new engineering group to help prepare themselves for working life.

The boys will be dealing with companies to solve problems as part of their British Science Association Crest Award.

Engineering teacher Alastair Speers said: “The boys were interested in getting together and solving real life engineering problems, rather than just school projects.

“It will allow them to gain experience of dealing with clients in preparation for university and their career.

“I’m sure it will give them all a better understanding of engineering.”
