Pupils have showcased their range of talents at a school’s annual festival.

The second Oakham School Arts Festival gave youngsters a chance to deliver a number of dramatic performances.

As part of the festival, the pupils took part in a short film called The Winter Ophelia, a piece about multiple personality disorder.

Director of drama Gilly Norell said: “The festival showcases Oakham at its best with motivated and inspired pupils creating pieces of theatre from nothing but their imagination and talent.

“The quality of the work they create and perform is astonishing.”

David Ley, 17, who is pictured, won most promising actor. Other winners included Anna Haefeli, Anastasia Besedovska and Max Young.

The pupils began planning for their performances in October.
