PHYSICS pupils from Stamford Endowed Schools have challenged themselves by taking part in exams set by the University of Oxford and Institute of Physics.

Eight teenagers joined the British Physics Olympiad, which tests their understanding and problem solving skills at a higher level than the A-level syllabus they are studying.

Rowan Gregg, Ellie Johnson, Sarah Johnson and Hunter Tang each received a merit certificate while Emily Talukdar, Eleanor Hunt-Pain, Charlie Dickinson and Allie Kelly received participation certificates.

Seven of the pupils also sat the flagship Physics Olympiad paper and Rowan Gregg was awarded a Bronze Level One, which places him in the top 27 per cent of entrants.
