A Cambridge-based psychologist spoke to more than 400 sixthformers during a guest lecture.

Dr Nick Baylis delivered two foundation lectures at the Stamford Endowed Schools, the first one to 400 sixthformers in the afternoon and the second in the evening to more than 250 parents, pupils and other guests.

Dr Baylis talked about having the skill to deal well with life’s intensities. His main messages to the pupils were to push beyond what you can already do and don’t choose the easy route, relax, and to remember that life is what happens to you and living is what you do about it.

Stamford School headmaster Will Phelan said: “Dr Baylis has given our audiences new perspectives and ideas to work with.”
