Pupils were given a taste of life behind bars when a prison van visited their school.
Charity Prison! Me? No way! visited boys and girls in Year 8 at The Deepings School to explain the realities of jail.
Pupils were allocated to a prison wing and treated as prisoners for a day.
They were also escorted by a team of local police community support officers so there was no chance of any messing about.
Activities included visiting a prison cell, complete with realistic smells, meeting a real prisoner and finding out about the consequences of anti-social behaviour.
Other sessions covered British Transport Police and a talk about what living in prison was like, including the chance to try on prison clothing.
