GENEROUS school pupils have handed over £1,000 to a good cause.
Youngsters at Kirkstone House School, in Main Street, Baston, have been supporting Parkinsons UK throughout the year.
The school handed over the money to charity representative Liz Knowles during an end of year assembly on Wednesday last week.
Headteacher Corinne Jones said that supporting Parkinsons UK has also been important in that it has raised pupils’ awareness of the illness and of how it affects so many lives.
Kirkstone House School pupils and staff have raised £3,000 for charities over the last year.
Next year the school will support the Sue Ryder Charity, which provides local hospice care.
