Pupils have been putting down their books and getting into the real world of work as part of a work experience scheme.
Y10 pupils from The Deepings School took part in a two-week period of work experience where they had the opportunity to experience the world of work through a range of placements locally and further afield in London, Surrey, Kent and Cornwall.
More than 200 organisations provided a work placement to help students develop their employability skills at businesses including Peterborough United FC, Perkins Engines, and Bauer Media.
Work experience co-ordinator Linda Taylor said: “We are very proud of the way our students conducted themselves out in the workplace and this experience will enable them to further develop their work related skills and help in their future career planning.
“We would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to the many companies and organisations that have kindly provided a placement to our students.”
Some pupils have been offered jobs and apprenticeships on the back of their placements.
