A MUSIC festival was held for school pupils last week.

Wilds Lodge School in Empingham hosted the event and worked hard to provide a real festival experience for the children.

Pupils from Catmose College and Wilds Lodge School performed rock and pop music for pupils from Empingham, Great Casterton, Langham, Exton and Whissendine primary schools.

There was a burger van, ice cream van, face painting, flags, banners and most importantly a huge stage set in the English countryside surrounding the school.

Music teacher at Wild’s Lodge Paul McClure organised the event.

He said: “It was incredible and I hope more schools from Rutland will get involved next year.”
