Pupils who took part in the British themed afternoon tea competition

Pupils at Catmose College have shown off their cooking skills by taking part in a British themed afternoon tea competition.

The event at the school in Oakham was organised by teacher Lynne Warren and pupils had just one and a half hours to prepare and make six rounds of sandwiches, six scones and six identical small cakes. Once prepared, they displayed their food for guest, chef Shaun Mason, who has worked for Rick Stein. Olivia Woodward, 15, was the overall winner, with Lydia Goddard, 11, taking second place.
