Pupils from Stamford Queen Eleanor School found out how Christmas is celebrated in France during a trip to Lille.

During the trip, they visited a goat farm where they learned about traditional cheese making techniques, and visited the Lille Christmas market where they were able to practice their language skills.

They also tucked into a traditional five-course French Christmas meal and discovered how to bake French bread.

But according to French teacher Kate Moss, who organised the trip, the highlight was snail tasting, which according to some was “delicious” but didn’t go down well with everyone!
