Pupils from Stamford Endowed Schools celebrate Oxbridge offers

SIX pupils from Stamford Endowed Schools are celebrating after receiving offers to colleges at Oxford and Cambridge University.
Ewan Fraser, has been offered a place to read engineering at Mansfield College, Oxford, while five other pupils were offered places at Cambridge: Henrietta Hammant, archae-ology and anthropology at Corpus Christi College; Victoria Salt, politics, psychology and sociology at Magdalene College; Katherine Noble, mathematics at Newn-ham College; Johannes Kangur, natural sciences – biological, at Magdalene College and Douglas Tawn, English at St Catherine’s College.
Endowed Schools principal Stephen Roberts said: “We are extremely proud of all of our students who choose to go onto higher education and receive a place at their desired university.
“Entry to Oxbridge colleges is especially competitive and I congratulate our students on having gained a place there.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for them which I am confident they will enjoy and benefit from tremendously.”
