YOUNGSTERS were transported into fantasy land by a puppet show and workshop.

Nursery pupils at Brooke Priory School welcomed visitors from Diddley Dee Puppets in Leicester who introduced them the story of The Gingerbread Man.

The children were spell-bound as the puppeteers used their papier mache figures to tell the tale before leading a puppet-making workshop.

Headteacher Elizabeth Bell said: “The children had a fantastically creative day and used their inspiration to produce some wonderful theatre.”
