Results show New College Stamford is top-of-the-table

A principal says he is pleased his college is “performing incredibly well”.

New College Stamford principal Andrew Patience said latest figures released by the Department for Education showed the college was doing well.

The college tops the table for 16 to 18 education success in the East Midlands, with students amassing an average of 215.9 Department for Education points in each A-level they take and passing with an average of 672.1 points from all the A-levels studied. Students combining their A-level studies with other academic qualifications do even better, achieving an average of 676.2 points.

Mr Patience said: “We pride ourselves on the quality of education we provide and these figures are fantastic news and a great achievement.”
