LOTS of children have enjoyed an English tea party with tasty cake and cucumber sandwiches.
The fun event took place at Langtoft Primary School for Foundation Stage pupils on Friday last week.
Headteacher James McCulloch said the idea for the tea party came from the children themselves.
He said they have drummed up a lot of interest in recent weeks about the royal family and that it had escalated from there.
Mr McCulloch added: “They had a Victoria sponge which they had baked, as well as cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off and homemade lemonade made from a traditional recipe.
“The children also made their own bunting for the occasion and came to school in non-uniform wearing clothing related to England.
“Some wore England football strips, while others wore period dress. They all enjoyed it.
“Then in the afternoon they had a country dancing session.”
