Schools affected by strike action on Thursday

SCHOOLS will be affected by strike action on Thursday.

Robert Manning College in Bourne will only be open to pupils in Year 7 and 12 and Stamford Queen Eleanor School will only be open to pupils in Year 7 and 9.

In Rutland, the primaries, which will be closed, are Brooke Hill and Edith Weston, and Ketton, Leighfield and Uppingham CE will be partially affected.

The Parks School will also be closed.

Catmose College will be closed to pupils in Year 9 and 10.

Arthur Mellows Village College in Glinton is closed.

New College Stamford has cancelled lessons and buses for Thursday due to the strike. Lessons have also been cancelled for Friday for staff training.

Students will be able to use the learning resource centre for study on both days.

The National Union of Teachers, the Association of Teachers and Lecturers, the University and College Union and the Public and Commercial Services Union have jointly organised the strike, as part of a row with the Government over pension schemes.
