Youngsters at South Witham Primary School have kicked-off the school year in smart fashion.

The pupils at the school are now sporting a new tie.

The decision to smarten up the uniform was taken after young members of the school council canvassed views from fellow pupils, parents and teachers.

Headteacher Ruth Taylor said: “All the children are now walking tall and looking smart and proud.

“The tie was designed to fit in with the school’s traditional colours of navy and grey.

“It really looks great.”
