Youngsters got to try their hand at a new sport during a badminton activity session.
Pupils from St Gilbert’s, St Augustine’s, St George’s, Bluecoat and Malcolm Sargent primary schools in Stamford, and from The Bythams Primary School in Little Bytham, were invited to Stamford Queen Eleanor School on Tuesday last week.
The Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils were given a series of badminton-related challenges.
They were led through the course by Year 10 sports leaders from Queen Eleanor School.
Sports co-ordinator Ann Bennett said: “There was a lot of cheering as the children were going round.
“Some of them were really good considering they had probably never played before.”
