Gifted and talented primary school pupils in Stamford are being asked to sign up for masterclasses.

Stamford Queen Eleanor School in Green Lane will be running masterclasses in subjects including theatre skills, physical education, textiles, Italian and mathematics for pupils in Years 5 and 6.

The classes will run on Saturdays between 10am and 11.30am, starting on November 10 and running until July.

Each session has space for up to 15 pupils and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The aim is to give the most able pupils a head start in their Key Stage 3 education.

Headteacher Wendy Hamilton said: “We are thrilled to offer primary school students a jump start in their learning and allow them to get ahead before arriving at secondary school.”

Registration closes on Wednesday. To sign your child up e-mail enquiries@queen-eleanor.lincs.sch.uk or phone 01780 751011.
