Thurlby graduate gets top fashion job

A former Bourne Grammar School pupil has scooped a job as a designer with one of the biggest brands in fashion.
Sarah Platts, 21, of the Pingles, Thurlby is flying off to Amsterdam this week to take up a job as a men’s bodywear designer for Tommy Hilfiger.
Sarah, who studied contour fashion at De Montfort University in Leicester, said: “I still can’t quite believe it.
“It is fantastic to be able to go straight from graduating in the summer into a job like this.”
Sarah studied fine art and textiles at Bourne Grammar.
