Key Stage 3 pupils at Bourne Academy have taken part in the Ready Berry competition, where they had to design a recipe using berries, cook it at home and take a photograph.
Food teachers at the school chose their five favourite recipes and those pupils then cooked the recipe again in front of a panel of judges.
Phoebe Holliday, 14, was the school’s winner after she made a fromage frais cream with mixed fruit compote.
Olivia Parker-Meadows was second and Amelia Topley took third.
Phoebe will now progress to the next stages of the competition, which is run by Seasonal Berries and the Children’s Food Trust.
If she beats other aspiring chefs from across the country, she could win a cooking session with Stefan Gates from CBBC and £500 of kitchen equipment for the school.
