Cubs from a newly formed group have raised money for charity with a jumble sale.

A group of 15 cubs from the 1st Elsea Park cubs and beavers raised more than £200 for Help for Heroes and Cancer Research UK with their
sale at the Elsea Park Community Centre.

As well as raising money for good cause the youngsters were working towards gaining their community badges.

Group leader Lisa Cuthbert said: “We wanted to do something for the community and give something back to charities. We are very happy. It is an absolutely fantastic amount to raise in just three hours.

“We want to get back to old school scouting, out and about in the community.”

Mrs Cuthbert said she wished to thank everyone who donated items for sale. Anything not sold was given to the Cancer Research UK charity shop.
