WITH the summer sun finally making an appearance, members of Bourne Twinning Association took to the garden of one of its members on Saturday to raise money with a tradition cream tea.
Organiser Pauline O’Brien, who hosted the event in her garden in Godiva Crescent, Bourne, said: “We had a lovely afternoon and we raised more than £150.
“There is always a lot of noise and a lot of laughter.”
About 30 people attended the event which raised money to be used to entertain a contingent of about 40 visitors from twin town Doudeville, in France, who are coming to Bourne in October.
The group is looking to raise £5,000.
