Pubs, sports clubs and village halls will be among the many venues joining the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The annual charity event saw 154,000 people sign up to take part in 2013, raising a record £20 million.
Thousands of eager fund raisers have already signed up to host the charity event including the team at the Mercury who will sell cakes and snacks to staff working in the building where the newspaper is based.
This year it is being held today - on Friday, September 26 - but coffee mornings can be held later in the week.

Langham Village Hall
Between 11.30am and 1.30pm there will be refreshments and a raffle. Anyone wishing to donate raffle prizes or cakes should take it to Helen Tipper at Spring Lodge, in Burley Road, Anna Findlay at The Beach Hut, in Wells Street or to the Hall on the morning. For more information call 01234 567890.
Essendine Village Hall
From 10am to 11.30am coffee will be available along with a selection of cakes and produce, and a raffle.
Green Dragon, Ryhall
From 10.30am to 1pm a group of women fundraisers from Stamford and Bourne will host a coffee morning with cakes and teas on offer. There will also be a raffle and a tombola.
Woodgrange Care Home, West Road, Bourne

Staff at Leighfield Park (part of Oakham Heights), Oakham,
Staff at Larkfleet Homes will host a coffee morning at the offices in Leighfield Park as well as The Garage and The Croft developments in Bourne.
Courtesy of Windmill Aviation, near Uppingham. There will be stands selling home-made cakes and a raffle with prizes to include a £30 voucher from Impact in Oakham, rental of a Harley Davidson from Sycamore, in Uppingham, for the day and an afternoon tea and cream cake voucher for Ruston Hall.
The Iron Horse Ranch House, High Street, Market Deeping
From 9am to midday there will be coffee, tea, home-made cakes and bread available to buy. There will also be a raffle with prizes.

From 10am to midday there will be a tombola, raffle, bring and buy and a bottle of wine for the lucky ticket number holder.
Some 50 tickets have been sold in advance and the team has set a target of £350 to boost their total since starting annual coffee mornings in 2002 to £5,000.
Stamford Friday Market, town centre
Two market traders in Stamford will aim to raise money for the charity.
From 9am to 11am Bruce Garside of Silver Oak Coffee and Barbara Farrow of Stamford Cupcake Company will offer market goers a free cup of coffee.
Gretton Sports and Social Club, Gretton Recreation Ground, accessed via Doctors Lane off Kirby Road.
Between midday and 3pm there will be sales of coffee, tea, cakes and other donated items. Anyone who has unwanted items that can help boost funds should call organiser Joyce Polley on 01536 770940.
Laxton Village Hall
Saturday, September 27
From 10.30am to midday filter coffee, tea and cakes will be on sale.
South Luffenham Village Hall
Between 10.30am and midday there will be a raffle, white elephant and produce table. Anyone who can donate of items for sale, cakes and raffle prizes or can help on the morning should contact Sue Geary on 01780 720896 or Carolyn Hunt on 01780 720687.
Following the coffee morning, the monthly Luffenham Charity Lunch will start at midday serving home-cooked food.
A Handful of Harmonies is holding a Macmillan coffee event at their Spalding choir, which meets at Bromley Memorial Hall in Pode Hall between 1.30pm and 3pm..
Members from the Deepings, Bourne, Langtoft, Peterborough, Stamford and Oundle are all welcome. Their normal choir session will take place followed by the coffee event.
Elton’s Walled Garden Centre and the Loch Fyne Restaurant are both taking part in the Macmillan Cancer Research between 10am and midday.
