INVENTORS, business owners and people wanting to get more from the internet will be targeted in an enterprise week that starts tomorrow.
South Kesteven District Council has arranged a week of events aimed at promoting enterprise and creativity across the district.
More than 34 separate events have been organised, but the focus is on three major events; B2B, a jobs fair and S K Pioneers.
The pioneers scheme was started by the council to get a new business in the area up and running. Business owners who were just starting out were invited to apply for the competition. The winner and prizes will be announced at the B2B event on Wednesday at Grantham Meres Leisure centre in Trent Road, Grantham.
It is the third year that the event will be held in the town and there will be more than 80 stands from different businesses as well as speed networking events where business owners and representatives will have the chance to make contacts and share ideas.
The event will run from 1pm to 6pm. To download a ticket and book a speed networking slot visit www.energise7.co.uk/Events-GranthamB2B2011
On Thursday a jobs fair will be held at The Ballroom, Guildhall Arts Centre, Grantham from 10am to 2pm.
More than 20 companies will be at the event to talk to people who are seeking employment or looking for a career change about how they can go about it, preparing a CV and interview techniques.
Among those at the event will be the armed forces, the NHS, recruitment agencies and charities.
Events are open to business owners and job seekers in South Kesteven.
