There were hundreds of entries across a huge range of categories as a horticultural club held its annual show.

Stamford and District Horticultural Society held its 52 summer show at the United Reformed Church Hall in Star Lane, Stamford, on Saturday.

Almost 400 entries were displayed across 75 categories, varying from vegetables to floral arrangements and cookery.

The committee thought the floral exhibits were particularly good this year.

And for the first time there were plants for sale at the event as well as the usual welcome teas and coffees.

Organisers were delighted with both the number of visitors and the quality of entries.
