A SCAVENGING day took place at Bourne Wood last Saturday.

About 15 people attended the event to collect firewood at Bourne Wood which was organised by the Friends of Bourne Wood.

Friends of Bourne Wood secretary Sarah Roberts said it went really well. She said: “It is a great way to spend an hour or so, in the fresh air, getting some exercise and some wood into the bargain.

Their next scavenging day is on Saturday, January 21. It costs £5.
