Volunteers of a new project met for the first time this week to see what work can be done to improve a stream for its inhabitants.
Members of the Heritage Lottery-funded Sinc Stream Project met on Tuesday and were met by Joe Davis, senior reserve officer of Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust.
Joe led a walk of the stream at Rutland Water to explain what could be done and when.
The project will last three years and will include the renovation of the stream, provision of interpretation boards and the creation of an outdoor learning zone. Training on habitat maintenance will also be provided to volunteers.
