A WOODLAND fete gave youngsters an afternoon of fun and education.
St Barnabas Hospice and the Friends of Bourne Wood organised the event, which took place on Sunday, July 3, to raise money for the hospice.
The Friends of Bourne Wood ran a nature trail and a stall.
Secretary Sarah Roberts said: “The trail led through the woods and involved a number of clues to letters that spelled out the name of a butterfly.
“All the people who came down enjoyed the day.”
St Barnabas Hospice set up a sunflower search in the play area.
Children paid 50p to take part and got a balloon at the end, along with facts and figures about sunflowers.
Three Counties Dog Rescue had a tombola and a bric-a-brac stall, and there was also a cake stall and face painting.
