THE FAMILY of the teenager killed when he was hit by a freight train while jogging have said he was a “fun loving boy”.
Harry Drain, 18, from Tinwell, died when he was hit by the train while he was out jogging between Tinwell and Stamford on Tuesday last week.
The teenager had recently completed his A-Levels at Stamford School and had intended to go on a gap year before going to university.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned yesterday (Wednesday) but it is not being treated as suspicious.
In a statement issued through the British Transport Police, his family said: “Harry was a happy, hard working and fun loving boy who will be missed by all who knew him.”
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “At this stage, it appears to have been a tragic accident and our thoughts remain with Harry’s family and friends at this very difficult and sad time.”
No date has been set for the inquest.
