A CATWALK clothes show raised more than £1,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The money was raised at an autumn and winter event at Cavell’s in Mill Street, Oakham, and featured clothes from the fashion shop and the lifestyle shop in South Street.

Simon Cawthorne styled hair and Faith Bailey from Pomegranite did the make-up, making it a truly Mill Street event.

There were 60 outfits paraded on the catwalk featuring both high-end fashion and lifestyle wear.

Organiser Amy Cavell-Taylor said: “It was fantastic and we had a great turnout.

“What we like most about Marie Curie Cancer Care is that the money raised will go straight back into the Rutland community.

“We always try to support charities that look after people in Rutland and this one is well known.”
