PUPILS are one step closer to getting a new trim trail following the success of a festive fair.
The parents, teachers and friends association of Malcolm Sargent Primary School in Stamford hosted the extravaganza on Saturday afternoon.
It included a raffle, silent auction, tombolas, face painting, nail art and stalls as well as a visit from Father Christmas. Refreshments included mulled wine, mince pies and cakes made during the Malcolm Sargent MasterChef cupcake competition.
Visitors were entertained by two of the school choirs who sang a selection of traditional and modern Christmas songs.
The event raised nearly £3,000.
Principal Tristan Revell said: “The parents, teachers and friends of Malcolm Sargent once again organised a tremendous Christmas event. We were delighted that so many people attended, including Father Christmas who dropped in with a huge sack of presents to share with the children.
“We are now well on the way to buying some fantastic new trim trail equipment. Thank you to all the people and businesses of Stamford who generously supported the event.”
