Volunteers from the Stamford Fibromyalgia Support Group have been busy this month raising money to support their work.
A quiz night and car boot sale organised by Sian Roberts and her parents at The Fox and Hounds pub in North Luffenham raised £140 for the support group.
Volunteers also held a stall at the Field Dog Fairs Big Antiques weekend, raising a further £195.
The group raised the money by holding a raffle and Guess the Dog’s Name competition as well as raising awareness about fibromyalgia.
Group organiser Christine Johnson said: “People have been happy to donate because it is a local cause. I want to say thank you to everyone who gave prizes.”
“Hopefully this is the first of many fundraising events.”
The Stamford Fibromyalgia Support Group’s next meeting will be at The Lord Burghley, at 6.30pm on Tuesday.
Sufferers of fibromyalgia can also contact Christine Johnson on 0844 8872604.
Christine said she wished to thank every company that supported the events with raffle prizes. Including: Carlsberg, Aroma Spice, The Olive Branch, Robert Goodwin, Walkers Books, Pia jewellery, Edible Creations, Jewsons
