A support charity will hold a market stall to raise awareness of a new service.

Voluntary Action Rutland will be at Oakham market on Wednesday, Uppingham market on Friday next week and Oakham farmers’ market on Saturday next week.

Charity representatives hope to promote their new IT drop-in service, which will teach people basic computer skills.

Engagement and partnership officer Neil Moverley said: “We support many organisations and individuals throughout the county and have run a number of very successful IT drop-in sessions over the last few years.

“We are very keen to develop this much needed service for the Rutland community. Finding out what people need will help to shape new projects, so we would be very interested in meeting you at one of the markets we will be attending.”

The charity will also promote volunteering throughout Rutland, its transport scheme for frail elderly and disabled people and the many other services it provides.
