The first lambs have been born at Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre, near Wansford.
A female Lincoln longwool was born at the farm on Thursday, followed quickly by her brother. Since then, a further 10 Lincoln longwool and Jacob lambs have been born there.
The farm is open daily and youngsters can help with lamb feeding at sessions held every two hours. The farm will also be welcoming a number of planned school visits over the next few weeks and school groups will be invited to name the farm’s cade lambs.
Marketing and communications officer Megan Horner said: “The birth of the lambs marks the beginning of spring at the farm. It is a very exciting time and thankfully all the lambs that have been born are happy and healthy.”
Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre will also be welcoming mothers and grandmothers free of charge on Sunday to mark Mother’s Day.
