A FAMILY fun day held at the weekend was ruined by thieves.

A FAMILY fun day was ruined by thieves.

Items from a hamper and goody bags were taken from the event at Morton Village Hall, in High Street, Morton, on Saturday.

Organiser Suzanne Wadkin, of Broadlands Avenue, Bourne, was left disappointed with how the day turned out.

She said: “There was a hamper of products for a raffle prize and a lot of stuff was taken out of that.

“I had party bags made up for the kids too, which were also stolen.

“Not many people came along on the day either. I’m gutted.”

Avon representative Suzanne had hoped to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, which the healthy and beauty company supports, but she will not be able to make a donation now.

Suzanne said: “I barely made enough money to cover the costs.”

She thanked everyone who did support the event.
