Preparations for the RippingAle Beer Festival are well underway.

The three day festival with live music, in its 13th year, will be held on the Jubilee Playing Field, from August 30 to September 1.

The event will be open from 6pm to 11pm on Friday, from midday to 11pm on Saturday and from midday to4pm on Sunday .

There will be 20 real ales, six ciders and a lager on offer, a barbecue, and on the Saturday a cake and tea tent and a bouncy castle for under 13s.

The live music acts include: guitarist Eddie Lunn, female vocalists Jenna Allen and Leona Bilby, bands Wharf from Grantham and The Mistabeats from Newark.

Entry and parking entry is free.
