A FOOTBALL club held a weekend of fun at a pub in Bourne to raise some much needed funds.
Members of Rippingale and Folkingham Football Club under 15s squad ran a number of activities at Smith’s in North Street.
The fun included a raffle, tombola and bouncy castle and each player took it in turns to have a wet sponge thrown at them in the stocks.
More than £320 was raised at the event, which will be put towards training tops for the young footballers.
Martyn Durrant, assistant manager for the team, said: “We’re really happy to have raised £320 and grateful for all the support we had.
“It was very well attended and there was a good atmosphere. The boys had fun. We would like to say a big thank you to Smith’s for allowing us use of the garden.
“We’ve got high hopes for next season.”
