More than 700 Santas both big and small filled Burghley Park on Sunday, December 13, for the annual Stamford Santa Fun Run.
The annual event, organised by the Rotary Club of Stamford Burghley, attracted many a jolly fellow to the park for a brisk run or walk in aid of charity.
Amongst the many attendees were mums and dads, children, grandparents, work colleagues, family pets, and five-year-old Ollie Williams who raised a fantastic £3,700 for The Phoebe Research Fund.
Jon Whowell, from the Rotary Club said: “It was a great event - all of the teams of Santas raised a fantastic amount for a number of local charities. Everyone who took part enjoyed themselves and were treated to a well deserved mince pie afterwards.”
This was the ninth Santa Fun Run organised by the Rotary Club, an event which has raised more than £130,000 for local charities over the years.
“We’re already looking ahead to next year’s run,” said Jon.
