A grandfather from Caldecott has said a special thank you to staff in the coronary care unit at Kettering General Hospital by presenting cheques totalling £635.
David Holloway raised the money at a fundraising party to celebrate to his 70th birthday.
Mr Holloway had a heart attack in 1996 and has undergone a double bypass and then quadruple bypass operation. He has also been fitted with a pacemaker.
The money was raised as a thank you to staff who have helped with his treatment.
Mr Holloway said: “I’d like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their outstanding care and also to thank the Wrinkle Rock Band who played at my party for half price so that we could raise more money.”
