Community groups have received their share of £3,000 which was raised at this year’s Braunston May Fair.

Braunston village hall committee and All Saints’ Church each received £1,200 from the event while Rutland Sailability was given £600.

The money was raised at the popular family fun day which included a range of stalls, entertainers, games, food and drink. Its highlight was maypole dancing by children from the village.

The groups each received their cheque during the village produce show.
