A college student inspired her peers and teachers to wear spooky costumes for a charity halloween fun day.

Cara Pereira organised the event in aid of the Rainbows Children’s Hospice in Loughborough as part of her campaign to be crowned Miss Great Britain next month. The Rutland County College student already holds the Miss Rutland title.

Students and staff, including head of the college Carl Smith, dressed as vampires and zombies and wore onesies.

Cara said: “I think it’s great that students and staff got involved.”

The day raised £87.
