Stamford Hospital’s cafe could be extended.

South Kesteven District Council has granted planning permission to the Peterborough and Stamford NHS Foundation Trust to add a 30sq m extension to the cafe at Stamford Hospital.

When the application was submitted, a trust spokesman said the hospital had been bequeathed some money and through this donation the trust was exploring the option of extending the coffee shop to provide a better patient and visitor facility.

He said decisions still had to be made via an investment appraisal to ensure the money was appropriately spent.
