Readers have until the end of today (Friday) to nominate deserving people to receive a free course of treatment worth at least £750.
Cell Regeneration, based at Holme of Health in Tinwell, specialises in MBST - a new treatment that uses magnetic resonance technology to regenerate cartilage cells.
Most patients come to the clinic for help with sporting injuries. But MBST can also benefit people with conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis.
Cell Regeneration co-owners Liz and Charles Clare wanted to give something back this Christmas and have decided to offer a course of the treatment to three worthy people. But the siblings want help finding those who deserve the gift the most.
They have appealed to readers to nominate a friend, relative or colleague. Liz said: “We want to give the treatment to people who wouldn’t ordinarily think of having it.
“We’re looking to care homes, bowls teams - anyone who might benefit.
“There is a cost and we would love to give it to everyone, but we can’t. At the moment it is still a private treatment, although we do envisage it being available on the NHS in the future.”
Treatment is usually carried out in the Tinwell clinic, but if necessary the MBST machine can be transported to suit the patient.
The treatment is an innovative procedure that acts precisely on a particular part of the body. It focuses on the generation of body signals that stimulate regeneration.
The MBST machine generates electromagnetic fields. These act on specific tissue cells and stimulate cell metabolism and regenerative processes.
Cell Regeneration was set up in 2011. Since launching the clinic Charles and Liz have successfully treated more than 700 patients. Holme of Health is also home to Shaw Nutrition, run by Imogen Shaw, and Ann Clare Physiotherapy.
To nominate someone for MBST treatment, e-mail their name and why they deserve it to firstname.lastname@example.org by the end of today (Friday, December 12).
